A MUSEUM UNDER THE SEA - The underwater museum of art

A museum in the middle of the sea, that's what MUSA (Underwater Museum of Art) is. Located between Cancún and Isla Mujeres, it is a unique place where, at a depth of no more than 8 meters, you can find 500 sculptures created by artists from around the world spread out in the Mexican Caribbean. Life-size human figures, some abstract forms, and even replicas of cars have become part of an ecosystem. Surrounded by algae and corals, they are now home to fish, moray eels, and other species, merging art with nature to create a unique work of colors and shapes.

The best way to visit is through a diving experience. It doesn't matter if you've never dived before; we offer a class that teaches you the basics in a safe setting, like a swimming pool. Here you can experience the sensation of breathing underwater under the guidance of an instructor and local guide. We will provide the necessary equipment for this adventure.

Ultimately, this is a morning activity that involves sailing for no more than 25 minutes in the turquoise waters of Cancún. Once at the site, you will slowly descend with your guide and see the sculptures surrounded by corals and fish swimming around, which have become artificial reefs, serving as natural shelters for marine life.

The best part of this place is that you experience it firsthand; for nearly 45 minutes, you become one with the underwater world. After this first dive, we will visit a natural reef in the same area. These two dives will make this experience more than just an extreme adventure; it will raise awareness of the urgent need to conserve our oceans.

Diving in the Underwater Museum of Art is a sensory journey of awareness and appreciation; it is to live the sensation of floating in human art transformed by the magic and beauty of the sea.

What are you waiting for to witness this work of art and immerse yourself in a world where human creativity and marine life coexist in harmony?
